Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation
Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) is a one-and-a-half day course that introduces the Cub Scout outdoor program to leaders interested in adding camping to their Pack activities.
It is the Cub Scout leader training required for ANY Cub Scout den or pack OVERNIGHT event. It is suggested to have this training for den and pack outdoor activities as well.
BALOO training is comprised of two components—an online component and a practical, hands-on component(this training). Both components must be completed to qualify as a “TRAINED” Cub Scout outdoor leader.
The online component must be completed prior to this practical component. It contains introductory and basic information that will be built upon during this practical training. Instructions for accessing on-line training
