The Ni-Sanak-Tani Winter Banquet is for all members, Scouters, friends, and family. Everyone is invited to come to Camp Decorah on Sunday, January 15 to recognize our 2023 officers, hear the highlights of 2022, Vigil Honor recognitions, committee reports, what’s ahead for 2023, a presentation by the Section G10 Officer, and our Guest Speaker, Mr. Art Shegonee.

Art Shegonee is a member of and the spiritual leader for the Menominee and Potawatomi tribes. His name is Canasa, which means Little Golden Eagle. He is a member of the Wolf clan and is a nationally recognized dancer. He is a traditional dancer at pow wows in Wisconsin and across the country. He has been the lead dancer for the Native American group, Brule, and has worked with musicians Bill Miller and Michael Jacobs. Art, his wife Dawn, and Michael Jacobs are the founders of the Call for Peace Drum and Dance Company. He will be coming to share his stories, videos, knowledge, culture and will explain how Eagles are represented and are sacred to the Native American culture and history. Art will be doing the Welcome Dance and inviting those in attendance to join in the experience. This is a great honor for our lodge to have Art come to inspire, educate, and motivate all of us!!

The cost to attend the banquet is $20 per person. We hope to see you there!
