Art Shegonee is a member of and the spiritual leader for the Menominee and Potawatomi tribes. His name is Canasa, which means Little Golden Eagle. He is a member of the Wolf clan and is a nationally recognized dancer. He is a traditional dancer at pow wows in Wisconsin and across the country. He has been the lead dancer for the Native American group, Brule, and has worked with musicians Bill Miller and Michael Jacobs. He will be coming to share his stories, videos, knowledge, culture and will explain how Eagles are represented and are sacred to the Native American culture and history.
