If a representative from your Unit attends at least 7 Council Roundtables from September 2024 to May 2025, your Unit will receive a credit for a free weekend of tent-camping or a BOGO overnight in a lodge at Camp Decorah!

 

SERVICE & SCOUTING 

Service is an essential component of the Aims and Methods of Scouting.  The opportunities for Scouts to engage in service within their local communities are nearly endless, but sometimes it’s hard to know where to begin. 

This month, GUEST SPEAKERS from local organizations will provide ideas for ways that Scouts can get involved.  

Following the guest speakers, all Roundtable attendees will participate in a round-robin discussion about service and Scouting.  Be Prepared to discuss the following: 

  1. What service project has your unit done that you are proud of? 

  1. Does your unit ever combine with other units to participate in a community service project?  If so, what have you done? 

  1. What organization(s) in your community could benefit from service provided by Scouts? 

  1. What’s one unique or interesting Eagle project you have seen?
