Join us for five action-packed days of summer fun at our Week-Long Day Camp! Open to Cub Scouts and siblings, this camp offers an exciting experience filled with shooting sports, nature exploration, swimming, special guests, and more. Whether your Scout attends for a single day or the entire week, they are sure to have an unforgettable adventure!

Scouts can also attend our Overnight Camp with their parents/adults from August 12th through the 14th! Learn more about our overnight camping options below.

Cost

• Kindergarten & First Graders need a parent/guardian to attend with them based on their Fall 2026 grade.

Time: 6pm Start time Wednesday, stay until Day Camp ending around 4pm Friday!

Just as Cub Scouts may be preparing for their first overnight camp, we also recognize that many parents and guardians may also be preparing for their first overnight outdoors.  Here is a bit more information about what to expect when coming to an overnight camp at Camp Decorah!

During camp all attendees will be staying in Camp Decorah’s Camper Cabins.  Depending on the size, each rustic cabin has two or four cots.  Camper Cabins DO NOT have mattresses, so plan to bring an air mattress, or other type of padding along with your sleeping bag and pillow.  Each Cub Overnight campsite has a latrine bathroom, with an outdoor sink for campers to wash their hands and brush their teeth.  With just a short walk from any campsite, campers can access the shower house, which has showers and flushing toilets.  Campsites do not have electricity, however the Dahl Center (dinning hall) has a place to charge electronics. 

At Camp Decorah, meals are served in  the Dahl Center by a team of highly experienced cooks.  They serve a variety of delicious and balanced meals, including a breakfast or salad bar depending on the meal.  If you or your Cub Scout have dietary needs (such as being Gluten Free or having a food allergy), our kitchen staff and Health Officer will work together to accommodate those dietary restrictions.

Camperships - Camperships earned from popcorn sales can only be applied to the cost of Week Long Day Camp OR The Overnight Camp ($175 value), not for the total cost of $280! If you would like to attend both with a Campership, we will manually apply the discount of $175 off of your registration fee of $280.

 

Refund Policy

All camp fees must be paid in full two weeks prior.

Cancellations can be made through Tentaroo at anytime by clicking manage registration until 2 weeks prior to an event.

All Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Scout Service Center or emailed to gatewayaccounting@scouting.org with full detail of request two weeks prior to camp. A portion may be held back to cover admin costs.
