BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH, SNACK, AND BEVERAGE.  Also, please note that some classes are half the day. Registration starts on Thursday, January 13th at 9am

Each Scout should have their Scoutmaster approval prior to taking the class.

*Note for Citizenship in Society:

The Citizenship in Society is a new Eagle Required merit badge.  For this first offering, it is open to only Life Scouts that are age 16 as of Jan 1, 2022 to prioritize this merit badge for those working on their Eagle rank and are nearing age 18.   Participating Scouts and their parents need to complete and sign the Citizenshipr in Society Form by February 4th.

If you want to be on the wait list, complete the wait list form.

This class requires an additional four hour session on Sat. February 26th, along with a few hours of outside research and writing before the first session and before the second session.  The Scouts that register for this class should have the available time and commitment to do this in the month of February.

  • Please wear a mask at all times unless eating or drinking.
  • The scouts will eat lunch in their classroom.  There will not be any large group gathering.
  • The class limit will be 10 scouts maximum for all classes.
  • If you have you been in close contact with someone that is Covid positive or you have cold/flu like symptoms from January 31 - Feb 4, DO NOT COME TO THE MERIT BADGE DAY.  Your class fee will be refunded or credited for a future council event.


  • All classes start at 9:00am sharp and end at 4:00pm (except Fish & Wildlife Mgmt and Personal Management)
  • The all-day classes will have a lunch and two breaks in between.
  • Arrive between 8:30 - 8:50am for check-in (a building location map and parking info will be updated shortly).


  • Cost for each Merit Badge Class = $20 full day and $10 half day for Gateway Area Scouts BSA (or $25 full day or $15 half day for out of council scouts).


  • Please bring your own sack lunch, am/pm snack, and beverage.


  • Please wear your Class A uniform shirt.
  • Please wear a mask and bring an extra mask.
  • Bring your own lunch, snack, and beverage
  • Bring a notepad, a pen or pencil
  • Complete pre-work prior to attending session


The registration for these in-person classes opens on Thursday, January 13th at 9am and closes on Monday, January 31st at midnight.  See below


  • For some merit badges, not all requirements will be completed on the day of the session but would need to be done after the session and reviewed with the counselor on your own.
  • Also, each Scout should have their Scoutmaster approval prior to taking the class.

Prior to registration, please make sure your scouts are setup in your account group with correct rank.

Refund Policy

Cancellations accepted up to 5 days before the event with a full refund.

Cancellations after that date are non-refundable unless due to extreme circumstances.  All refunds after this date must be requested in writing within one week of the event.
