Honoring 100+ Years of Scouting • America 250 • On the Mississippi
As we look ahead to America’s 250th anniversary, we also honor more than 100 years of Scouting, celebrating the character, citizenship, and leadership. Scouting has fostered in generations in our communities. Join us for an evening of fun, food, drinks, raffles, silent auctions and community spirit as we celebrate youth—set against the timeless backdrop of the Mississippi and inspired by the charm of riverboats and paddlewheels that helped shape our region.
Our hosts personally invite all champions of children and friends of Scouting throughout the Coulee Region to gather at their home on the river for this one-of-a-kind celebration of heritage, service, and community.
Hosts: Mark & Mary Kerrigan
Location: 30662 Mulder Road, La Crescent, MN 55947
Date: Wednesday, June 17, 2026
Time: 5:30pm - 8:30pm, brief program starting at 7:00pm
Through their years of involvement, the Kerrigan’s have seen firsthand the value Scouting brings to a child’s life. Scouting provides opportunities to build friendships, learn practical skills such as using a compass, tying knots, archery, swimming, and cooking over a campfire, and enjoy enriching experiences including camping, hiking, spelunking, skiing, and canoeing—locally at Camp Decorah and across the United States.
The Kerrigan family believes strongly in supporting the next generation of children who can benefit from being part of a Scouting family. Scouting offers structure, mentorship, and a supportive environment where young people can grow, build confidence, and meet life’s challenges.
Please join Gateway Scouting and the Kerrigan family in bringing the joy, values, and lifelong benefits of Scouting to our communities.
This is a “give as you are able” event—every dollar raised stays 100% local, supporting life-changing programs for both Scouting and non-Scouting youth across our 9-county service area in Western WI and Southeastern MN.
