After a 20-year absence, RIVER RATS is back! May 15-17 at Badger Camp South of Prairie du Chien! River Rats is a family camp opportunity where Cubs will develop great fellowship with members of their pack and most importantly have FUN!
A series of different events are planned to improve Scout skills, teamwork and FUN! These events will range from Shooting Sports to Crafts to Field Games to Air/Water Rockets to STEM Projects. The Saturday night activities end with a camp-wide campfire program which the Packs get to participate in, flag retirement ceremony and nomination into the Order of the Rat to close out the weekend's festivities.
- REGISTRATION is $75 and fee includes:
- 2 Nights Lodging in Cedar Lodge
- Snacks and Meals. (Friday Snack, Saturday meals (3), Saturday Snack & Sunday breakfast.)

- Cost is $75 per person. Register in full by April 1st and get a Free River Rats T Shirt!
SHIRT SIZES: Due by April 19, 2026, otherwise:
o Youth will receive an ADULT SMALL,
o Adults will receive an ADULT XL
Medical Forms
- BSA Part A and B Medical Forms are required for all Participants and Adults. Please be sure all parents are included in addition to any registered adult staying overnight.

On Arrival / Check-in
- Staff will be on site Friday night by 6:00 pm for check-in in Cedar Lodge (Health Officer is on site).
- All participants should arrive at Badger Camp between 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Friday.
- Scouts/Leaders will be assigned beds-turn in BSA Medical form A&B and receive RIVER RATS SCHEDULE & SITE MAP for the weekend.
- All LEADERS and STAFF are required to attend the welcome/orientation meeting on Friday night at 8:15 pm in the Dining Hall.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches will be available upon request.
Pack Leadership should communicate food allergies at least 2 weeks prior to arriving at camp by completing/updating the DIETARY portion of their Scouts registration in Tentaroo
Food is ordered and minimal alternatives are kept on hand, so our staff will do the best to accommodate.

- Pack Cheers/Yells:
- Each pack should prepare a cheer for Saturday lunch/Dinner & Sunday Breakfast
- Saturday Campwide Campfire:
- All packs are encouraged to participate with a song or skit (advancement)
- Pack performs 1 song or 1 skit
- Flag retirement ceremony

ORDER OF THE RAT
CRITERIA
A Scout who lives up to the Scout Oath & Scout Law in their daily lives
NOMINATIONS
1 nomination = 4-11 Scouts attending
2 nomination = 12-19 Scouts attending
Trading Post Opens at varied times throughout the weekend providing beverages, snacks and apparel (based on staffing)
Check – Out Process
- Packs are free to check out Sunday Morning after closing flags between 9:00 am to 9:30 am
- If you are up early, please respect your neighbors and keep the noise at a reasonable level until 7:30 am.
- Our staff will be available to check out each Pack from the Dining Hall
- River Rat patches will be provided for all registered attendees.
