Cub Scout: Resident Camp - July 25 - July 26
An overnight camp for Cub Scouts that will be a Tiger Scout, Wolf, Bear, or Webelo in the fall.   

Cub Scout: Webelos Camp - July 16 - July 18
Webelos can attend a themed summer camp with awesome activities that help Scouts to transition from Cub Scouts into Scouts BSA. 

Cub Scout: Week Long Day Camp - August 3 - August 7
Cub Scouts and sibings welcome, for 5 full, exciting days of camp activities, shooting sports, nature, swimming, and special guests. 

 

Scouts BSA: Resident Summer Camp - July 5 - July 11 or July 19 - July 25
Work on a Trek of Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class rank requirements and merit badges!

Scouts BSA: National Youth Leadership Training - July 26 - July 31
The NYLT course centers around the concepts of what leaders must BE, what they must KNOW, and what they must DO.

Scouts BSA: 3-Day Brownsea Base Camp - July 27 - July 29
Scouts will work on many outdoor-related Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class rank requirements. 

Scouts BSA: Summer Merit Badge Days - July 27, July 28, July 29, July 30
Spend the day on a camp or Eagle required Merit Badge.  Attend 1 day or come to all 3!

Office Team Member Job Posting - Gateway Scouting is seeking a team member who can be the front-line customer service specialist who also assists with a variety of general tasks to help support the office operations at the council office in La Crosse.

District Executive Job Posting - Gateway Scouting is seeking someone with a Bachelor's Degree for an entry-level District Executive position who is prepared to accept the challenge to engage youth and volunteers in the Sparta/Tomah area.

Camp Ranger Job Posting - Provide property maintenance and impact youth and the community as the Camp Decorah Ranger / Program Specialist. This is a full-time position supporting the operations of Camp Decorah, located on the Black River between Holmen and Galesville.

Camp Staff Opportunities - Are you 15 years of age or older? Are you one who enjoys the outdoors? Are you looking for a 6 week summer job that is fun and will leave a lasting impact on kids? Then Camp Decorah is for you! The Gateway Area Council's premier Summer Camp will hold open interviews on Friday, December 27th from 11 am to 5 pm at the Council Office on 2600 Quarry Road in La Crosse. It's a summer job that will give you a paycheck, room and board and a chance to work with kids. Plus, you'll still have half the summer for yourself!

Plan now for the National Jamboree: July 21-30, 2021

The Gateway Area Council will be sending a contingent of youth Scouts BSA members to the 2021 National Jamboree at The Summit in West Virginia. Scouts must be at least 12 years old and have the rank of First Class at the time of the Jamboree.

Only 36 spots for Scouts BSA members are available. We will be working with neighboring councils to do a shared contingent for female Scouts BSA members.

To hold your spot, plan to make a $100 deposit and complete the online form found at the council's National Jamboree page.
