Scrap-a-thon
Turn scrap into support. The Scrap-a-thon is a metal recycling fundraiser — old appliances, car parts or metal scrap become funding for local Scouting.
It is a win-win: you declutter your space while making a positive impact on the environment and our community.
How to Participate
Bring recyclable metal to any participating location through Labor Day to support local Scouting. The drive kicks off in May and runs all summer long.
Who can take part:
- Area businesses donating metal bins
- Restaurants and pubs donating cans or any scrap
- Scout families with scrap metal
- Community members with scrap metal — anyone with scrap metal
Where: Gateway Area Council, 2600 Quarry Road, La Crosse, WI 54601 — Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm for a receipt.
